Bon Bons
ingredients
- (2) 2/3 cups (7 oz.) flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2/3 cup confectioner sugar
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsps. unsalted butter (room temp.)
- 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (coarsely chopped)
- (1) box of toothpicks
directions
In a large bowl, combine the coconut, milk, sugar, almonds, butter, and vanilla. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Remove from the fridge and form into balls about the size of pecans. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a double boiler, melt chocolate. Using toothpicks (2), dip each ball into chocolate, covering them evenly. Use a fork and drizzle chocolate them evenly. Refrigerate until set.
