Lambert Family Favorite Recipes
ingredients
- CARMEL CORN
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Karo Syrup
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 cup Roasted Peanuts or Pecans (optional)
- 1 cup Butter or Margarine
- 2 tsp Salt
- 7 1/2 quarts Popped Corn

Combine butter, sugar, salt & syrup in saucepan and bring to boil for 5 minutes.

Beat in soda vigorously.

Place popcorn in 2 large shallow baking sheets.

Pour sugar mixture over corn and nuts. Stir.

Preheat over at 200 degrees and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

CUT OUT ORNAMENTS

2 cups Soda (Baking)

1 cup Cornstarch

Cook in pot until mashed potatoe consistency.

Cool until you can handle.

Roll out and form shapes.

Cut out with cookie cutters.

Place on wax paper.

Let dry overnight to dry.

Ready to paint.
