Thanksgiving Dressing and Giblet Gravy
This is my Grandmother Cauthen’s recipe. I can remember her making this in my childhood. Although there has been som additions (soups) basically it is still the same taste.
ingredients
- DRESSING
- Cornbread - crumbled fine
- Old Bread - cut into small cubes
- Chopped Onion & Celery - sauteed
- Sage and Poultry Seasoning to taste
- Salt & Pepper
- Cream of Chicken Soup
- Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Celery Soup
- Chicken Broth
- Several Eggs to bind together.
- Mix together but don’t make too thin.
- Bake at 350 degrees until done.

GIBLET GRAVY

Necks and Giblets from Chicken or Turkey
- 3
Note: You can use chicken breast and chopped fine.

Cover with water and boil until done.

Removed meat from neck and chop liver, heart and gizzard fine.

Return to pot with Grated Boiled Eggs.

Thicken with Wonder Flour and Water or Corn Starch and Water.

Salt & Pepper to taste.
