Under the Sea Salad

Makes 6 to 8 squares

A classic holiday favorite

ingredients

  • 1 package lime jello
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup pear juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 2 cups diced canned pears
  • 1 package cream cheese

directions

Dissolve jello in hot water. Add pear juice, salt and vinegar. Pour half of the mixture in pan or mold. Chill until firm. Chill the remainder until it begins to jell, then ship it. Add cream cheese. Fold in the diced pears. Pour this mixture over the jello in the pan or mold. Chill and cut into serving pieces.
