Cheddar Grits Casserole
ingredients
- 4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. quick-cooking grits
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp.pepper
- 2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
directions
Bring milk just to a boil in a large saucepan over medium heat, gradually whisk in butter and grits. Reduce heat, and simmer, whisking constantly for 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in egg and next 3 ingredients. Pour into lightly greased 11x7 baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese. Bake covered at 350° for 35-40 minutes.
