Cucumber Salad
These will stay crispy for up to a month in the refrigerator.
ingredients
- 6 cups thinly sliced cukes
- 2 cups thinly sliced onions
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp mustard seed
- dash of salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric

Layer cukes and onions in a glass bowl with lid.

Combine sugar, vinegar, celery seed, mustard seed, salt and turmeric in saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar melts. Bring to a boil and boil uncovered for 1 minute.

Pour over cukes and onions. Cover tightly and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
