Crab Cakes

Classic Maryland Crab Cake Recipe with Old Bay Seasoning.

  • Crumbs from 2 slices bread

  • 2 sm. eggs

  • 3-4 rounded tbsp. mayonnaise

  • 1/2 tsp. prepared yellow mustard

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

  • 2 tsp. parsley flakes

  • 2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 lb. Maryland lump crab meat, previously cooked and picked

  • Butter for frying

  • Lemon for taste or garnish

  • Blend all ingredients thoroughly, except crab. Add crab meat and gently toss to retain lumps. Mold into cakes and fry in butter until lightly browned. Or, bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Yield: 8 to 10 cakes.
