Skillet Beef Strognoff
Perfect for a Sunday Supper
ingredients
- 2 lbs. sirloin steak
- 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cans beef stock
- 1/4 cup catsup
- 2 garlic loves minced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 cups sour cream
directions
cut meat into bite size. In large skillet cook and stir in mushrooms and onion in butter till tender. Remove mushroom and onion to small bowl. In same skillet brown steak on both sides then remove from skillet. Add about half can have beef broth(save other half till needed), flour, catsup, garlic, salt, I add pepper to taste to skillet and stir to mix. Add back beef and cover and simmer 15 minutes. If needed can add remaining beef stock as needed for moisture. Add back in mushrooms and onions and bring to boil 1 minute. Stir in sour cream. Serve over noodles. Enjoy.
