Berry Pie
Sweet berry pie
ingredients
Basic Ingredients- 1 double-crust pie pastry
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 5 cups of any type berry
- 1 cup sugar (3/4 cup if blueberries)
- 1/3 cup flour (3 tbsp if blueberries)
- 2 cups blueberries + 2 cups halved strawberries + 1 cup blackberries or raspberries
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour

Line a 9 inch pie plate with half of pastry

Combine sugar and flour in a large bowl

Add berries and cinnamon, toss until coated

If frozen fruit, let stand for 45 min

Place berry mixture in pie plate, place other pastry half on top

Brush top pastry with milk and sprinkle on cinnamon sugar

Cover edge with foil to stop browning

Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes (50 if frozen fruit). Remove foil.

Bake for another 25-30 minutes until filling is bubbling and pastry is golden

Cool on wire rack
