Pork Dumplings
Great pork dumplings that are time intensive to cook but steamed instead of fried.
ingredients
- Sauce:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tab rice vinegar
- 2 tab lemon juice
- 1 teas sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tab green onions
- Dumplings:
- 10 oz ground pork
- 3 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 1/4 cup thinly sliced leek
- 3/4 cup minced green onion
- 1 cup sliced shittake mushrooms
- 1 tab minced ginger
- 1 tab soy sauce
- 1 tab sake or sherry
- 1 teas sesame oil
- 1/4 teas salt
- 1/4 teas pepper
- 40 wonton wrappers
- 2 large carrots

1) Sauce: Add all ingredients to bowl, cover and refrigerate.

2)Dumplings: Combine all ingredients through pepper.

3)Cover wonton wrappers with damp towel to keep from drying out. Spoon 2 teas pork mixture into center of each wrapper, moisten edges of wrapper with water and pinch closed. Place dumplings on thinly sliced carrot in steamer and steam for 10 minutes.
