Poppy Seed Bread

ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup & 2 tbsp Crisco
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 tsp each: almond, vanilla and butter extract
- glaze topping:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 tsp each: almond, vanilla and butter extract

Combine ingredients and beat for 2 mins on medium speed.

Pour into two greased and floured loaf pans.

Bake for one hour at 350°.

While baking, combine ingredients for glaze topping and warm through.

Immediately remove pans from oven and poke holes in top of loaves with large fork.

Pour warm glaze over each and let set 5 mins.

Remove from pan and let cool.
