Traditional taco salad ingredients combine with a unique sweet and tangy dressing.

ingredients

Salad
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. less 2 tsp. dry taco seasoning
  • 2 med. tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 avocados, cubed
  • 1 (16 oz) can black olives
  • Tortilla Chips
Dressing
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 tsp. grated onion
  • 1 garlic glove, minced
  • 2 tsp. dry taco seasoning

directions

  • 1

    Brown ground beef. Prepare with partial package of taco seasoning.

  • 2

    Toss all salad ingredients, except avocado and chips, together.

  • 3

    Mix all dressing ingredients. Pour over salad, add avocado and chips, and toss to coat just before serving.
