Tomato Tart

ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pastry shell
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 2 T chopped fresh basil (1 T dry)
  • 2-3 tomatoes - cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 t black pepper
  • 1/4 olive oil
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese

    Preheat oven to 400 degree F

  • 2

    Layer all ingredients in pastry shell in order listed

  • 3

    Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top

  • 4

    Bake 30-40 minutes

  • 5

    Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving

  • 6
