Cuban Picadillo
ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 medium diced onions
- 5 cloves of crushed garlic
- 1 Med. red or yellow bell pepper
- 1/3 cup catsup
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- 1/4 cup stuffed Spanish olives
- or- raisins

Sauté the onions & bell peppers in olive oil. Add the garlic & ground beef.

Continue cooking until the beef is browned. Drain if necessary.

Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for about 40 minutes. Excellent with yellow rice & black beans. Serves 6.
