Jamie's Chicken Lettuce Wraps
I love the chicken lettuce wraps at PF Changs and took it as a personal challenge to try and re-create them at home. I’ve worked on this recipe for over three years and I think that I am pretty close!
ingredients
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 8 oz. can water chestnuts, chopped
- 1/2 jar gyoza sauce, preferably Trader Joe’s brand
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Asian chili paste (you can find this in the Asian section of your market, along with the hoisin sauce)
- 2 green onions, chopped, for garnish
- iceberg lettuce
directions
In a sauté pan, add ground chicken, chopped onion and garlic. Cook until chicken is no longer pink. Add remaining ingredients, except the green onion. Turn heat down and simmer for 10 minutes. Top with chopped green onion. Serve in lettuce cups.
