ingredients

  • 2 C raisins
  • 2 C water
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 C nuts -- chopped
  • 1 1/2 C sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 C flour

directions

Boil raisins, water, soda together till foamy. Cool.

Mix rest with raisin mixture. Fill pans 2/3 full. Bake 325 1 hour.
