This is a great dip devised by a friend’s mother. It can be very spicy with more jalepenos or less with just green chili

servings:Makes 4 cups
total time:
30 min


  • 4 slices of Bacon
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14oz) drained
  • 1 can jalepeno’s drained
  • 1 block Velveta cheese food
  • Dash of cheyenne pepper


Fry bacon in a large pot. Remove when crisp. Saute onions in bacon drippings and drain. Add tomatoes and chili peppers. Cut Velveta in cubes and add to pot. Stirring constantly melt cheese. Serve with tortilla chips warm or at room temp.


Also good over broccoli or cauliflower.
