Betsy's Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

ingredients

  • 1 pkg plain devil’s food cake or dark chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1 package (3.9 oz) chocolate instant pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1/2 c warm water
  • 1/2 c veg oil
  • 1 1/2 c semisweet choc chips

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.

    Place cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, sour cream, warm water and oil into a large mixing bowl. Blend with an electric mixer on low for 1 minute. Scrape sides. Increase mixer speed to medium and blend 2-3 minutes more. Batter should be thick and well-combined. Fold in choc chips, making sure they are well-distributed. Pour batter into Bundt pan.

    Bake 45-50 mins, until cake springs back when lightly pressed and starts to pull away form the sides of the pan. Cool in pan 20 mins, then invert onto the rack to cool completely.
