Stuffed French Toast
A holiday must have breakfast at our house!
ingredients
- 1 loaf thick cut french bread
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- apples
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temp.
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- (as most of you know, I do not measure, so all measurements are approximate...adjust to your liking, that’s what I do!)

Mix cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth.

Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon until combined.

In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar until melted. Add apples and cook until tender.

Spread cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread, top with another slice of bread. Soak in egg mixture until coated. Place on preheated skillet and cook until golden brown.

Place toast on serving platter and top with apples. Enjoy!
