Baked Apple Oatmeal
This is comfort food if I ever tasted it! Wonderful on a cold morning, and even good to have for dinner! Can easily put leftovers in the frig and reheat for breakfast tomorrow.
ingredients
- 2 2/3 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
- 2 Cups Peeled and Chopped Apple
- 1/2 Cup Raisins
- 4 Cups Milk
- 1/3 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
- 1 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 Tsp. Salt
- 1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts (if desired)

Heat oven to 350. Mix oats, raisins, milk, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, salt and apples in 2 quart casserole dish.

Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Top with walnuts. Serve with additional milk.

This is absolutely delicious, and you will never serve oatmeal plain again after trying it!
