Uncle Dick's Ramos Fizz

Makes 4 servings

This is Uncle Dick’s (“UD”) version of the famous New Orleans drink, the Ramos Fizz. If you’re squeamish about using the egg white, you can substitute powdered egg white.

ingredients

1 1/2 cups cracked ice, more or less
1 cup gin
3/4 cup sweet and sour
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 egg white
2 tbsp sugar
1 shot white Creme De Cocoa
dash orange flower water

directions

Place the ice in a blender (make sure the blender is about three-quarters full of ice). Add the remaining ingredients. Whip the mixture until frothy. Serve immediately and garnish with an orange slice.
