⅔ 8oz pkg fat free cream cheese
2 tbsp & ½ cup strawberry spreadable fruit
8 2" slices French bread
2 egg whites
1 egg
¾ cup milk
½ tsp vanilla
⅛ tsp apple pie spice
Spray griddle and heat to medium.
Combine cream cheese and 2 tbsp fruit spread.
Using serrated knife, cut each slice of bread horizontally almost completely in half, forming a pocket.
Fill pockets with cream cheese & fruit mixture.
Combine egg whites, egg, milk, vanilla and apple spice.
Dip stuffed bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides.
Place on griddle and cook each side 3 mins or until golden brown.
In small saucepan, heat ½ cup fruit spread, stirring frequently.
Pour over French Toast. Serve warm.
