Traditional Mashed Potatoes
ingredients
- 6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- Optional- 1 clove of garlic
directions

1. Place potatoes (and garlic) in a saucepan and cover with water.

2. Cover pan and bring to a boil; cook for 20-25 minutes or until very tender. Drain well. 3. Add milk, butter, salt and pepper; mash until light and fluffy.

4. Can be made ahead and reheated. Serves 6.
