Strawberry-Spinach Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing
ingredients
- Dressing:
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. dried mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 tbs. freshly-grated onion
- 1 cup oil
- 1 1/2 tbs. poppy seeds
- Salad:
- 1 (10 oz.) bag spinach
- 2 heads bibb lettuce
- 1 qt. strawberries, sliced
- 4 kiwis, peeled and sliced
- 1 can mandarin oranges, drained & cut in half
- 4 tbs. chopped pecans
- 1 red onion, sliced and marinated in 1 tbs. sugar and 2 tbs. vinegar for 2 hours.
directions
Salad may be put together several hours before serving. Toss with dressing just before serving.
