Banana Bread
Minimum ingredients, Maximum taste! Just 1/2 a cup of sugar and no butter for this bread-the bananas give it sweetness and flavor.
ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4 bananas)
- Optional ingredients:
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Heat oven to 350 F

Grease a regular size loaf pan

Mix dry ingredients together in a separate small bowl.

Mix wet ingredients together in a medium-large bowl

Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.

Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving
notes
The bread tastes better when you use REALLY ripe bananas. (almost black) The more ripe the bananas, the more flavor and sweeter the bread!
