Baked Ribeye, No Really!Becky
I know, I know! It just doesn’t sound right to bake a steak the quality of a ribeye! Trust me, it is super fantastic! You have to try it to believe it and then you’ll never want to go back!

- Olive oil
- 1 2" thick Ribeye or Porterhouse steak
- Mrs. Dash Original Blend seasoning
- Coarse salt
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Yes, you read right. 450 degrees F.
Coat steak with your favorite olive oil. Sprinkle all sides liberally with Mrs. Dash seasoning and rub it in with your fingers so that it blends with the olive oil. Sprinkle on a minimal amount of coarse salt. Place on a rack in a heavy baking pan and let steak rest until oven is preheated.
Bake until a meat thermometer registers 125 degrees F for rare, somewhere between 25-40 minutes. Transfer meat to a carving board, cover loosely with foil and let rest for 10 minutes so that the juices will redistribute through the meat. This step is very important. Meat will continue to cook while resting.
To serve, slice into thin pieces.
If you can't find Mrs. Dash, you can make your own spice rub using: 2 tbsp each of coriander seeds, course pepper, chopped thyme, chopped rosemary and coarse salt.
