Sausage and Onion CasseroLe
ingredients
- 250g Sausages
- 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 Onion
- 25g Plain Flour
- 250ml Water
- 1 Beef Stock Cube
- 100g Mushrooms (optional)
- 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 1 small can Baked Beans
- Chopped Parsley
- Salt and Pepper

1. Fry the sausages gently in the oil until browned.

2. Peel and chop the onion, wash and slice the mushrooms, chop the parsley.

3. Put the sausages on to a plate and keep them warm. Add the onion to the pan and fry until lightly browned.

4. Stir in the flour, add the stock, tomato puree and the mushrooms and stir well.

5. Add the sausages and beans. Cover and simmer very gently for 10 minutes. Taste and season, if necessary.

6. Pour into a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped parsley, serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
