Gramma Ramp's Strawberrry Rhubarb Pie
ingredients
Pastry- 5 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 c. lard
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 egg, and 1 tbsp. vinegar (fill with water or milk to make one cup)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 3 c. cut rhubarb
- 1 c. sliced strawberries
- 1 tbsp. butter

For pastry, add liquid gradually and cut into dry ingredients until pea size. Do NOT knead!

Combine sugar, salt, nutbeg, tapioca, orange juice and rhubarb. Place in 9 inch pie plate lied with pastry. Top with strawberries and dot with butter. Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 min., then moderate heat (350) for 30 minutes.
