Challah
ingredients
- 1 3/4 c warm water (105-115 degrees)
- 2 packages Fleischman’s yeast
- 1/2 c honey (or sugar)
- 3 t salt
- 1/2 c oil
- 3 eggs
- 4-5 c flour
- 1 egg plus 1 T water for glaze
directions

~ Dissolve yeast in water and stir - add in honey and let sit for at least 5 minutes.

~ Add and stir in remaining ingredients - dough should be pretty stiff. Knead until elastic and smooth - should not be sticky

~ Lightly grease a bowl and put dough in and cover. Let rise for at least 2 hours or overnight. Punch it down and let rise again.

~ Preheat oven to 375

~ Punch down dough and divide into 3 equal pieces; roll each piece into a long log - braid them together. Glaze with egg mixture

~ Bake 30-40 minutes until golden
