Cream Cheese Bacon Jalapeno poppers

Jalapeno peppers stuffed with a combination of cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic and cilantro and then wrapped in bacon, baked in the oven until the bacon is crisp! If you don’t like cilantro you can replace it with another herb.

  • 12 jalapenos, stemmed, seeded and halved

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ teaspoon garlic or more if you wish

  • 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro

  • 1 lb. bacon divided into thirds

  • 24 tooth picks

  • In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic and cilantro. Mix well.

  • Generously spoon cheese mixture into the center of each jalapeno half.

  • Cut the whole pound of bacon into thirds in equal sections.

  • Wrap each jalapeno with one of the pieces of bacon.

  • Secure with a tooth pick through the sides.

  • Bake in 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crispy.
