Leslie's Baked French Toast Casserole with Praline Sauce
Breakfast never tasted so good.
ingredients
- 1 loaf french bread or cinnamon bread
- 8 large eggs
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 c. milk
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1/4 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. ground nutmeg
- dash of salt
- Praline Topping:
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 2 T. light corn syrup
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 1/2 t. nutmeg

Slice bread into 20 pieces about 1 inch thick. Arrange in generously buttered 9X13 pan making two rows, overlapping the slices. Combine the eggs, half and half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg and salt. Beat until blended. Pour mixture over bread slices making sure all is covered. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Combine all ingredients for praline topping and spread over top of bread. Bake at 350 for 50 minutees. Serve with maple syrup.
