Chocolate Cake
Low Family Favourite Chocolate Cake
ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups unsifted flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla

In large mixing bowl, stir the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt with whisk; mix well.

Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla.

Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes

Stir in 1 cup boiling water (batter will be thin). I mix on very low speed of mixer.

Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan (or two 9 inch pans, or three 8 inch pans).

Bake at 350 degrees F for 35–40 minutes for 13 x 9 pan (30-35 minutes for layers).

Cool 10 minutes on a rack.

Remove from pans. Cool completely.

Top with favourite icing or creamy fudge frosting.
