Heavenly Cheese Salad

This was Grandmother’s favorite salad to make, not just at Christmas! She loved sweets more than anyone.

ingredients

1 package lime Jell-O
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. pecans
8-9 maraschino cherries
1 c. whipping cream, whipped

directions

Prepare Jell-O by directions on box using liquid from pineapple then supplementing with water. While Jell-O cools, mix together softened cream cheese and pecans. Fold these into cooled Jell-O. Stir in cherries and pineapple, then fold in whipped cream. Chill until set.
