Zodi's Favorite Mac-N-Cheese
Extremely easy side dish that compliments any entre, or can be used as a main course.
ingredients
- 12 oz Egg Noodles, cooked & drained
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cups Fontina cheese, grated (set aside 1/4 cup to top with)
- 3/4 cups Mozzarella cheese, grated (set aside 1/8 cup to top with)
- 3/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated (set aside 1/8 cup to top with)
- 4 oz cooked ham, diced
- 2 cups broccoli, steamed (optional)
- 2 Tbsp Parsley
- 3 Tbsp Cumin (nice smoky flavor)

Preheat oven to 450.

Boil egg noodles according to directions with salt.

Meanwhile, steam broccoli in medium size pot and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine milk, flour, heavy cream and mix together until smooth. Add cheese and mix until smooth. Add broccoli and ham and mix until well blended. Add all seasonings and mix until well blended. Slowly add cooked noodles and mix well.

Add milk and noodle mixture to a 9 x 13“ baking dish. May need to add remaining mixture to a separate baking dish if it does not fit in 9 x 13” dish. Add remaining cheese to top.

Bake at 450 for about 15 min. or until noodles are slightly browned.

Let set about 10-15 min. and liquid will thicken.
