Italian Green Beans
These are great green beans with a zip of lemon. Very quick and easy.
ingredients
- 4 c. green beans
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 scallions
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- juice of 1 lemon
- zest of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper

Cut off the ends of the green beans.

Slice scallions thinly.

Cook beans in boiling water 5 minutes then shock in ice water. Drain and set aside.

Melt butter in a pan, add scallions. Sauté over low heat until softened, about 3 minutes.

Stir in lemon juice and zest. Add beans. Season with salt, pepper to taste. Simmer two minutes.

In a separate pan, dry-fry the sesame seeds. Stir frequently until they smell nutty. Remove from heat.

Remove beans to serving platter, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
