Chicken Paprikas
Another Hungarian recipe handed down from Jackie’s grandmother. It was a much enjoyed meal at Wachna family dinners.
ingredients
- Chicken pieces (bone-in breasts, thighs and legs)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup onion
- paprika
- water
- 1 cup sour cream
directions

Saute onion in butter until translucent but not brown. Add chicken and season with paprika, salt and pepper to taste.

Remove chicken and set aside.

Add sour cream to butter mixture and stir to desired thickness (add water here to thin sauce if desired).

Serve over rice, dumplings, egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
