Joes to Go
ingredients
- 1 lb. extra lean ground beef -- (93% lean)
- 3/4 C chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/2 C chili sauce -- or catsup
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 6 hamburger buns -- low calorie
directions
In large skillet, cook and stir ground beef and onion until brown; drain. Add garlic salt, pepper, chili sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, mustard and tomato sauce. Cool and freeze if you aremaking this ahead for a later meal.
To prepare for serving, thaw hamburger sauce and bunss. Heat sauce until bubbly, and serve on warm buns.
