1 lb. extra lean ground beef -- (93% lean)
¾ C chopped onion
1½ tsp garlic salt
⅛ tsp pepper
½ C chili sauce -- or catsup
¼ C brown sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp mustard
8 oz tomato sauce
6 hamburger buns -- low calorie
In large skillet, cook and stir ground beef and onion until brown; drain. Add garlic salt, pepper, chili sauce, brown sugar, white vinegar, mustard and tomato sauce. Cool and freeze if you aremaking this ahead for a later meal.
To prepare for serving, thaw hamburger sauce and bunss. Heat sauce until bubbly, and serve on warm buns.
