Super Meaty Lasagna

ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 small container cottage cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 3 Tbsp. dried parsley
  • 6 oz. water

    Brown meats and onion- drain. Add garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, tomato paste, water and tomato sauce to meat. Simmer, uncovered 30 minutes. Cook noodles per directions- drain and cover with cold water.

    In a large baking dish, arrange layer of meat sauce, 3 noodles, cottage cheese, and cheddar. Repeat layers and end with cheddar cheese on top.

    Bake in preheated 350° oven for 45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before cutting.
