Pork Chops and Mushroom Gravy
Cool weather comfort food at it’s best. Tender Pork Chops and fluffy mashed potatoes smothered in a rich onion and mushroom gravy. Mmmm Yummy! This is also great to make in the the Crock Pot too.
ingredients
- 4 6-8 oz Pork Chops, Bnls or bone-in your choice
- 2 10.5 oz cans Cream of Mushroom soup
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 soup can of water
- 1 soup can of milk
- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 1/2 tsp ground marjoram
- 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 Recipe of your favorite mashed potatoes.

1.Pour oil into a large skillet or sauté pan (10“-12” or larger) heat over medium to medium-high heat. Meanwhile, in a small dish mix marjoram, salt and pepper together.

2. Sprinkle seasonings over both sides of the chops. Add meat to hot pan and brown about 5-7 minutes on each side.

3. While meat is browning, pour soup mixes, water, milk and mushrooms into a bowl and mix until blended.

4. After chops are browned, pour soup blend over the meat. Let the mixture come to a slow boil, then turn heat to low and simmer for a minimum of 1 1/2 hours. The longer you let this simmer the more tender the chops, but don’t go over 3 hours. Another option is, after the meat is browned, put your chops and soup blend into a crock pot and let cook on low all day. Serve this your favorite green veg and mashed potatoes.
