Cheddar Crisps
ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 tea baking soda
- 1/2 tea sugar
- 1/2 tea salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups extra sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 TBS white vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- ground pepper

In a bowl mix together flour, cornmeal. baking soda, sugar and salt.

Cut butter into mix until coarse crumbs form.

Stir in cheese and vinegar.

Add 1/2 cup water and stir with fork until a soft dough forms.

Cover with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate 1 hour.

Roll out 1/4th of dough paper thin and cut into 8 wedges.

Place on well greased cookies sheet and sprinkle and press pepper onto dough.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Keep rest of dough in refrigerator until ready to use.
