This spiced wine has been enjoyed in Germany for many generations. Much like mulled wine, it is served hot during Yule celebrations while gathered around the “Tannenbaum” or Yule tree.
8 cups Cabernet Sauvignon
½ cup sugar
8 sticks of cinnamon
4 slices of orange
1 tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
12 whole cloves
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
