ingredients

  • 1 head red leaf lettuce
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 3/4 cup red onion sliced very thin
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 can mandarin oranges
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • Dressing
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 2 TBSP rice vinegar
  • 10-12 drops tobasco

    Put almonds and 2 TBSP sugar into pan on medium heat. Stir constantly, until sugar melts. Put aside and cool.

    Combine ingredients for dressing. Combine all ingredients, toss with dressing and serve.
