Cranberry Tea Squares
This recipe uses Williams-Sonoma Apple-Orange Cranberry Relish, but you could substitute your recipe or favorite brand. Optional: Meyer Lemon curd spread from Williams-Sonoma. This is a very simple to make, yet delicious recipe!

- Crust:
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- Filling:
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup W.S. Apple-Orange Cranberry Relish
- Icing:
- Zest of 1 lemon, grated
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 1/4 cups confectioners sugar
- 1 cup pecans, chopped and toasted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. combine brown sugar, butter and flour in a food processor, and then pat the mixture into the prepared pan. Place in oven and bake crust for 15 to 20 minutes. Combine the filling and blend well, pour over hot crust. Reduce the oven temp to 325 degrees and bake for 20 minutes. Remove and allow to cool for at least one hour.

Combine the lemon juice, zest and confectioners sugar and beat until smooth. Spread over the bars evenly and then sprinkle with the chopped pecans. Allow to cool completely.

Cut into 36 bars and place on a serving plate.
