Chafing Dish Crab
ingredients
- 6 T butter
- 3 T ap flour
- 2 1/2 c half and half
- 1 lb crabmeat
- 1/4 c dry sherry or white wine
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/3 c green onions, chopped
- 2 c fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 4 oz cream cheese
- salt and pepper
directions
Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter. Stir in flour and cook until mixture is blended. Pour in half and half and cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Add cream cheese and stir until melted, then add crabmeat. Season to taste with wine, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
