Pumpkin Dessert Squares
This uses Williams-Sonoma Muirhead Pecan-Pumpkin Butter, but you can substitute with your favorite brand.
ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix - reserve 1 cup
- Mix remaining cake mix with 1/2 cup melted butter
- Add 1 large egg
- Press lightly into bottom of 9“ x 13” pan
- Mix 1 jar of Muirhead Pumpkin Pecan Butter with 2 large eggs, and 1/8 cup milk
- Pout over cake mix mixture
- Mix 1 cup of reserved cake mix with 1 tablespoon flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup soft butter and 1 tsp cinnamon.
- Mix and crumble.
- Spread over pumpkin layer.

Note: Broken pecans sprinkled on top add a nice finish to this dessert.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
