Banana Yogurt Bread

ingredients

  • 2 C flour
  • 1 tsp baking poweder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 C bananas -- ripe, mashed
  • 3 tbsp vanilla or plain yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 C chopped nuts -- (optional)
  • 3/4 C chocolate chips

directions

Stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together and set aside. Cream sugar and margarine. Add mashed bananas, yogurt and vanilla. Mix well. Blend in the dry ingredients. Stir in nuts (optional) and chocolate chips. Bake in a greased, 9 x 5 loaf pan at 350° for about 45 minutes or until top is firm and golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out dry. Freezes well.
