Upside Down German Chocolate Cake
ingredients
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
- 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
- Whipped topping, optional

In a saucepan over low heat, cook and stir brown sugar and butter until sugar is dissolved and butter is melted.

Spread into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch cake pan.

Sprinkle with pecans and coconut. Drizzle with evaporated milk; set aside.

Prepare cake mix as directed on box.

Pour over topping in pan.

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

Cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve with whipped topping if desired
