Onion Bhajias
These well known savoury snacks are delicious served with plain yoghurt and chutney or to accompany curry dishes.
ingredients
- 75g/3oz Gram Flour
- 2tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1tsp Ground Coriander
- 1tsp Turmeric
- 1/2tsp Salt
- 1/2tsp Mixed Spice
- 4tbsp Water
- 100g/4oz Grated Onion
- 25g/1oz Grated Potato
- 5tbsp Oil

1. Mix together the gram flour, cumin seeds, coriander, turmeric, salt and mixed spice.

2. Stir in the water and beat to a smooth batter.

3. Add grated onion and potatoes and mix well.

4. Heat the oil in a frying pan and gently drop in spoonfuls of the mixture.

5. Turn and cook until golden brown on all sides.

6. Remove and drain on a paper napkin before serving.
