Marisa's Spaghetti Sauce
No one makes it as good as my Mom’s but give it a try anyway.
ingredients
- Oil
- ground beef (round) - 4 lbs.
- 2 small cans of tomato paste (1 with
- Italian seasoning)
- Hunt puree 5-6 cans - (plus her own tomatoes)
- salt and pepper
directions
Fry the meat in some oil. Add the paste and let cook for about 7 minutes. Pour in the puree and let cook for about three hours--This will boil, so keep your eye on it and stir so you do not burn the bottom of pan. It will thicken as it cooks.
notes
Everything is approximate with my Mom. If you cut this in half, I would still use at least 3 cans of puree.
