Spicy Chipotle Beef Tacos

ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 cups finely diced onion
  • 1 tbsp finely diced jalapeno
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp chopped canned chipotle in adobo
  • 2 cups tomato puree (whole canned peeled tomatoes pureed)
  • 1 bottle Dos Equis beer
  • 1 tbso fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • accompaniments: 20 hard or soft taco shells, grated cheddar cheese, sour cream diced onions, diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce
